Ruling on HHS mandate: “As contrary to religious freedom as you can get”

breaking news

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit today ruled against Priests for Life, saying that the regulations of ObamaCare’s HHS mandate “do not impose a substantial burden on Plaintiffs’ religious exercise.” Responding to what he calls an “unjust ruling” is Fr. Frank Pavone, the national director of Priests for Life, who in an email alert said, “That’s absurd!  Of course they [impose a substantial burden]. The Court is wrong. And as I’ve told you from the very beginning of this process … Priests for Life will not obey the mandate! Not today.  Not tomorrow.  Not ever! And part of this defiance will be to appeal the Court’s ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court.” Read more about the decision here.
